Our first stop will be the Giza to see the Pyramids of Giza, which are the oldest monuments in the world. The Giza Plateau served as the royal burial ground during Egypt’s Old Kingdom, specifically the 4th Dynasty (around 2600 BC). Here are the three Great Pyramids built for Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, each serving as a giant tomb designed to secure the king’s safe passage to the afterlife. You can also enjoy an optional camel riding tour in Giza to experience the feeling of the Sahara and its beauty. See the Great Sphinx, sculpted from a single block of limestone, which stands as a symbol of royal power, wisdom, and spiritual control.
After that, we will head to the Coptic and Islamic Cairo tours by visiting the Citadel of Saladin, also known as the Cairo Citadel or Salah El-Din Citadel, which is one of Egypt’s most iconic and historically significant monuments. It sits majestically on Mokattam Hill in Cairo, offering panoramic views of the city, and a sign of Egypt’s Islamic legacy and military power. And visit one of the most beautiful mosques inside the citadel, the Mohamed Ali Basha Mosque.
Now it's time to move to the next stop for the Coptic Cairo tour. Coptic Cairo is one of the most ancient and spiritually rich areas in Cairo, Egypt. It is a sacred district that keeps the early roots of Christianity in Egypt. It contains various historical sites, such as the Hanging Church, which was built on top of the southern gate of the Babylon Fortress. It is committed to the Virgin Mary and known for its wooden roof shaped like Noah’s Ark. Then, we will move to the second place, the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga), which stands over the cave where the Holy Family stayed, making it one of Egypt’s most important Christian sites. Then, we will move to the third place, the Church of St. Barbara. Additionally, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest in Egypt, is located within the same area and highlights the long history of Jewish life in Egypt.
After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Enjoy your daily buffet breakfast and check out of the hotel to be transferred to Cairo airport or any other drop-off location.
