At the beginning of the World Youth Forum
On April 25, 2017, a group of Egyptian youth presented an initiative to engage in dialogue with youth all over the world at the National Youth Conference in Ismailia. On July 24, 2017, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi officially responded during the National Youth Conference in Alexandria at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, launching the first World Youth Forum (WYF), which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2017.
The WYF was initially taking place in November 2017, where it has been engaging youth from all over the world in a mutually enriching configuration, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influencers.
Since that time, it has become a chance for youth to get involved with high-level decision-makers, and network with promising young people from the region and around the world who are committed to making our world a better place for all.
The World Youth Forum brings together a wide range of participants, including, but not limited to, heads of state and government, international youth leaders, inspirational youth in various fields, international personalities, and youth groups from around the world.

First Edition of the Forum 2017
The first edition of the forum was held in Sharm El-Sheikh from November 4-10, 2017. A large group of young people from various nationalities and backgrounds participated in the forum. More than 3,000 young people from 113 countries convened, joined by 222 speakers from 64 countries with expertise in various fields. The forum comprised 46 sessions and over 70 working hours.
At the attendance of a large number of leaders and thought leaders from around the world, international issues were discussed, including migration and refugees, democracy and human rights, stability and development in Africa, globalization and cultural identity, technology and social media and their impact on populations, and other important topics on the international stage. In addition, the forum featured a discussion of important international topics.
The Third Edition of the Forum 2019
From December 14–17, 2019, Sharm El-Sheikh hosted the Forum's third edition... In a more comprehensive and varied experience, almost 7,000 youth from 197 nations came together to talk about and share ideas on peace, development, and creativity.
The third edition of the Forum also focused on a number of pressing issues on the international agenda, such as food security, climate change, artificial intelligence, women and their role in society in the age of digital technology, and the challenges of creativity, art, and cinema in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
