Itinerary

Meet your licensed tour guide at your hotel and head to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization by private car. Located near the Citadel of Babylon and overlooking Ain El Sira, in the heart of historic Fustat in the Old Cairo district of Cairo.

The museum covers an area of approximately 33.5 acres, including 130,000 square meters of buildings. It is expected to house 50,000 artifacts spanning various eras of ancient Egypt through contemporary history. It includes a group of storage facilities for preserving antiquities equipped with the latest modern scientific technology, similar to international museums such as the Louvre and the British Museum. Enjoy an unparalleled lunch at a restaurant in downtown.

Then we move to Abdeen Palace to visit its annexes. When the palace was built, its vast grounds housed cemeteries housing the remains of Egyptians. These were moved outside the palace, except for the tomb of Sidi Badran, which now overlooks Fountain Square. Every time workers tried to move this tomb, which belonged to an unidentified person named Badran, it was ruined.

The palace consists of two floors. The first floor houses the harem and the selamlik, while the ground floor contains the palace garden, a pharmacy for rare medicines, the royal printing house, and King Farouk's office. The Muhammad Ali Hall is the largest and most luxurious hall in Abdeen Palace. The palace also includes several halls called the White, the Red, and the Green, which were used to receive official delegations during their visits to Egypt.
