Ibn Tulun Mosque: Ahmed ibn Tulun ordered its construction in 263 AH/877 AD in his new city of Al-Qata'i, which is considered the third mosque built in the capital of Islamic Egypt after the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As in Fustat and the Mosque of Al-Askar. What distinguishes this mosque is that it was built on a rocky hill known as Jabal Yashkur, making it the first suspended mosque built in Egypt. This great architectural edifice was built by the Egyptian Coptic architect Sa'id ibn Katib al-Farghani. In addition, the Ahmed ibn Tulun Mosque is distinguished by its resistance to fire and floodwaters.
The Gayer-Anderson Museum: Known as the House of Crete, this architectural museum is located in Cairo and comprises two historic houses dating back to the Mamluk and Ottoman periods, which have been joined together. English officer Gayer-Anderson restored and furnished the houses with his rare collection of antiquities and art before leaving them to Egypt as a museum. The museum also houses archaeological collections from different eras and civilizations, as well as furniture reflecting the Eastern Islamic style.
The Pyramids of Giza: One of Egypt's most famous archaeological sites, it includes the pyramids of the Fourth Dynasty kings Khufu, his son Khafre, and his grandson Menkaure, as well as the famous Sphinx. Each of the kings' pyramids had a pyramid complex that included the pyramids of the queens, a small pyramid considered to be the king's ideological pyramid, and a valley temple from which a path ascends, its sides engraved with scenes of daily life, leading to an upper temple known as the funerary temple, where priests performed funeral rites and burial rituals for the deceased king inside those temples. The area previously contained Khufu's boats, known as the Sun Boats, which were recently moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum for display when it opened, but the area still retains the pits where these boats were stored.
At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

The Ibn Tulun Mosque is located in Cairo, Egypt. Specifically, it is situated in the Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood, near the Citadel of Saladin and the historic district of Islamic Cairo. The mosque is one of the oldest and largest surviving mosques in the city and is considered a significant architectural and historical landmark.
The 162-meter-long, square-shaped Mosque of Ibn Tulun was built with red brick that had been well-fired and intricately carved stucco fronts over pointed arches. The mosque has undergone multiple full reconstructions since it was first completed by architect Saiid Ibn Kateb Al-Farghany.
While it is not required, it is advised that you show respect for the religious site by covering your skin and donning a headscarf.
The Gayer-Anderson Museum is an old building that was made by combining two houses in the 1600s. Major R.G. Gayer-Anderson Pasha bought the building in 1935 and got permission to live there for a while from the Egyptian Government.
History: Built by Ahmad ibn Tulun between 876 and 879 AD, the Ibn Tulun Mosque is one of Cairo's oldest mosques. It is noteworthy for both its historical significance and distinctive architectural elements.
