Outside, our expert guide will be waiting to take you to Fayoum Governorate, about two hours away by car. After enjoying a simple Bedouin breakfast in an unforgettable setting, you will embark on a new adventure on your second day in Fayoum with a tour that is no less spectacular than the first day, as we delve deeper into the history and nature of this enchanting place.
First, we will head to Wadi Al-Hitan, one of the world's most important natural heritage sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique place displays the remains and huge skeletons of extinct whales, preserved in the middle of a soft desert, like an open-air natural museum, giving you a sense of the grandeur of nature and its history. The trails within the valley allow you to walk among these fossils in an experience that combines contemplation and exploration.
We will then continue our adventure by exploring this unique and lesser-known site, which has a special character: the Palace of the Arabs. Located in a remote area in the middle of the desert, this palace is believed to have been the residence of one of the region's dignitaries in earlier times.
