First, we will start our day by visiting the Monastery of the Saints, Mount Todd, in Luxor. The Monastery of the Saints is still active today, performing both as a place of worship and a tourist attraction. It played a key role in the spread of Christian life across Upper Egypt and is considered one of the spiritual centers in the Luxor region.

After that, we will head to one of the most famous sites, Deir El-Shayeb in Luxor. Deir El-Shayeb dates back to the 6th century AD, making it one of the earliest Christian places in the Theban area. According to tradition, the site was originally a hermitage used by early monks aiming for isolation in the desert near the Nile.

Finally, you will be driven back to your drop-off location.

This largely relies on the website you are visiting and the time of day that you are doing so. Some places don't provide much shade, so you should be careful not to expose too much skin to the sun (the Giza Pyramids in the afternoon is a good example of this). Since temples are well-shaded, you do not need to cover yourself up as much. However, keep in mind that despite their good shading, tombs still tend to heat up from the sun and the numerous tourists, so try to wear light clothing, especially made of cotton. Although many individuals choose to wear open-toed sandals, be aware that many of the flooring are extremely uneven, making it possible to easily stub your toe on them.

The greatest time of year to visit Egypt is between September and May, when you can enjoy the outdoors of Egypt with a beautiful cool breeze and not too much heat, but enough. This is because Egypt summers can get incredibly hot, with temperatures climbing as high as 50 Celsius.
