Itinerary

Your Luxor day tour starts right after meeting our representative and driver in an air-conditioned vehicle. Then, you will be picked up from your hotel or Nile cruise to begin your special day in Luxor, an open-air museum city. We will drive across the countryside for 35 to 40 minutes to get to the West Bank.

The first highlight of the day is to visit the Valley of the Kings to begin your wonderful day tour. The Valley of the Kings The Valley of the Kings lies on the west bank of the Nile River, opposite Luxor (ancient Thebes), in Upper Egypt. Located in a desert landscape beneath the peak of Al-Qurn Mountain, the valley served as the royal necropolis for Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs (c. 1550–1070 BC). The New Kingdom pharaohs cut their tombs into the mountains there in an effort to hide their treasure and safeguard their mummies from thieves.

Then we will visit Medinat Habu, this historic site is located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, and South of the Valley of Queens.

After that, we will visit the Valley of the Queens, also called Ta-Set-Neferu, or "the land of beauty," where the wives and sons of Pharaohs were interred. There are more than 90 known tombs. The valley reflects the Egyptians’ belief that royal women played a crucial role in maintaining cosmic harmony (Ma’at). By honouring queens as divine mothers and wives of gods, these tombs ensured their eternal life beside the pharaohs. The most famous are those of Nefertari, Ramses II's preferred Queen (extra ticket on spot).

Lunch at a nearby restaurant before concluding your tour of the West Bank with a photo stop in front of the enormous 17-meter-tall statues of Memnon that originally decorated the largest mortuary temple on the west bank of the Bank of Luxor of King Amonhotep III (optional).

Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor.
