Wadi El Natrun Day Trip from Alexandria Port

Price Starting From : $90

Excursion of Wadi El Natrun from the Port of Alexandria

A reasonable quality tour is very popular and can be termed the Wadi El Natrun Tour from Alexandria Port. Wadi El Natrun is a place in the Western Desert of Egypt better known for its old-time monasteries, the Monastery of Saint Macarius the Great more so. Many such monasteries trace their history to the 4th century A.D., thanks to Saint Macarius of Egypt. The Coptic Christians who settled in these Coptic Corners lived in peace and inhabited dispersed walled structures standing in the middle of a desert territory without the Nile and other civilizations around them. The residents of these communities lived as ascetics, cut off from the rest of society, in silence and in prayer. In the course of history, these monasteries have been raided and annihilated time and again, and each time they rebuilt, the way of life of the monks was unchanged.
