Itinerary
We have a day prepared for you since you need to plan wisely. The guide will meet you in the morning and you will be able to visit: Valley of the Kings: Ancient Egyptians were concerned with preserving the body, mummifying it and placing it in a safe place for the afterlife. The Pharaohs' ideas for burying their kings changed from pyramids to underground tombs after repeated thefts.
After enjoying your meal, you will be transferred to two statues of Memnon. The two statues are famous for the widely circulated legend, “Eos, the mother of Memnon, the goddess of dawn, asked Zeus, the greatest of the Greek gods, to distinguish her son from the rest of the people. He promised her that his voice would be heard every day, and his mother would weep for him when she heard this voice.”
After providing information about the two statues of Memnon, you will now learn about the Bahari Monastery. The site of Deir el-Bahri is famous for containing the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1473-1458 BC) in the western land of Luxor. The temple consists of three tiers tiered in the valley floor, where funerary rituals were held for both Queen Hatshepsut "who received the title of king", in addition to her father, King Thutmose I, where sacrifices were made in order to guarantee the queen's soul a peaceful eternal life in the next world.
