When you arrive in Luxor, whether by plane or train, our representative will be waiting to take you into the Nile cruise before you begin your great trip in Upper Egypt, where your tour guide will take you to visit East Luxor.
The great trip starts with Karnak Temple which is one of the most significant religious complexes concerning the ancient Egyptians. This huge temple is filled with numerous marvelous monuments such as the Great Hypostyle Hall, which has 134 columns and is the most famous and largest in the world.
It also has many columns that lead you to this large hall. These large columns were built during the reign of Amenhotep, and many kings of the modern state, like Ramses, Hatshepsut, and other great kings, added to the construction of this temple until the Roman and Greek eras.
After this amazing visit, you will go into another of Luxor's magnificent temples, the temple that bears the name of the city and is considered one of the most important temples in Egypt in terms of historical significance and tourist attraction.
The most striking elements of the temple are the great pylon constructed by Ramses II and flanked by two huge obelisks (one of them was taken to Paris), the vast columned court, and the Avenue of the Rams, which linked the temple with Karnak and measured approximately 3 kilometers in length. The inscriptions and decorations in the temple also stand out as the one that captures some of the historical and religious events in history.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast on the Nile Cruise, you will experience a great trip to West Luxor, where you will visit the tombs and temples that reflect Egyptian civilization.
You will start your day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, famous for being the resting place of the most important pharaohs. It is a valley of tombs of kings whose greatness has been witnessed by history, making it unlike any other valley. It is characterized by the harmony between each tomb and the other, and each tomb has its own distinctive features. For example, the tomb of King Ramses VI has magnificent inscriptions and is like one of the most the tombs located there.
Then you will go to the second visit, the impressive temple in Luxor dedicated to the great Egyptian queen Hatshepsut, which was built to commemorate her great memory. It is important economically as it is one of the most important and largest places that tourists visit, and it is important religiously for the pharaohs as it was dedicated to the god Amun.
It served as a place of worship and sacrifice, where rituals were performed to appease the gods and ask for their blessings. In addition, the inscriptions that adorn the walls of the temple provide valuable historical and cultural information about the reign of Queen Hatshepsut.
Finally, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, which were founded during the reign of Amenhotep III to commemorate this great king. After this wonderful trip, you will return to the Nile cruise to enjoy a delicious lunch before sailing to the next city.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast on the Nile Cruise, your tour guide will take you on a different tour of the wonderful city of Edfu, where you will visit one of the best temples there.
After the cruise arrives in Edfu, you will visit the Temple of Horus, where you will find one of the most magnificent temples, reflecting the precision of Pharaonic design and expressing the ancient Egyptian civilization that spans thousands of years.
Here, you will find inscriptions that depict the daily life of the ancient Egyptians. One of the most controversial inscriptions among visitors resembles the Wi‑Fi symbol used today, leading some to claim that aliens founded Egyptian civilization. However, Egyptian archaeologists have proven that it is nothing more than a piece of meat used as an offering to the gods, especially since this temple was dedicated to the god Horus.
After that, you will return to the Nile Cruise to sail to the city of Kom Ombo, where you will visit one of the most magnificent temples, which is undoubtedly one of the best temples in Aswan. This temple is distinguished by its decorations that tell one of the most wonderful love stories in history, as it is not a love story between two people but between the Egyptian gods.
It is considered one of the most famous myths that reflects ancient Egyptian thought and worship, the importance of the gods to them, and how they glorified them and built various monuments and temples for them, like the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu, among other impressive temples in Egypt.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Your day will start in Aswan, exploring the gigantic Aswan High Dam, a modern-day engineering wonder that has created an impression on Egypt and its economy. As you are standing in front of this gigantic construction, you will get to know how it manages the River Nile and gives power to millions of people in the whole country.
The next site that you will visit is the renowned Unfinished Obelisk, which is an amazing structure that was hewn out of the granite quarries at Aswan. Had it been finished, it would have been the greatest obelisk made of one piece of stone. This place provides interesting information about the craft of the ancient Egyptian constructors.
You will see the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is one of the loveliest temples in Egypt. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, is gracefully situated on an island in the Nile, to which it was moved carefully to avoid being ruined by the rising waters of the dam. This is an unforgettable experience due to the tranquility and the grace of the reliefs.
When your excursions in Aswan are over, you will come back to your Nile cruise to have a delightful lunch and have some time to rest. You can either take part in the activities on board or just relax as you sail the Nile.
