Itinerary

As soon as your ship docks at Sokhna Port, you’ll be met by your guide and driver, ready to begin the day. Get ready to hop on to a private air-conditioned vehicle and head towards Cairo, which will take you through desert scenery and some small towns.

Your first stop will be Dahshur, a site that often gets passed over by most visitors, yet can be adored by many who make the journey.

Unlike Giza, you will not be surrounded by the overwhelming crowds of tourists in the presence of the pyramids at Dahshur. With your very own eyes, you will have the chance to witness two of Egypt's most interesting pyramids, the Red Pyramid in all its reddish limestone glory, and the Bent Pyramid, which, in its change of angle, speaks to the experimental trial and error in the history of pyramid building.

Walking around the pyramids will offer you the rare opportunity to appreciate their scale away from crowds of tourists, in near silence, while your guide shares backstories and even some speculative stories about their construction.

After the desert experience, everything changes as you step onto the Nile’s edge. Get on a traditional felucca, with its white canvas sail catching the wind, and allow the boat to passively take you down stream.
