Discover The Colored Canyon in Sinai, Egypt

The colored Canyon or colored groove is a labyrinth of Sandy rocks dyed in yellow, purple, red, and golden colors, reaching in some places a height of 40 to 80 meters. It is considered one of the natural wonders in the Taba Sinai Reserve. It is located 90 km north of Dahab, while Nuweiba is the nearest city to it, as it is located about 3 km from it. The Valley consists of colorful rocks in the form of cliffs resembling a dry riverbed, and its length is about 800 meters, and this valley was formed by rainwater, winter torrents and veins of mineral salts, for which channels were dug in the middle of the mountains after it had been flowing for hundreds of years.

Naming

The reason why the colorful Valley is so named is due to the shades of colors that coat its walls, with veins of mineral salts that draw lines on its sand and limestone and give it crimson, orange, silver, gold, purple, red, and yellow hues.
