We will enjoy visiting and exploring a very important landmark of the East Bank, the Temple of Luxor, one of the greatest pharaonic temples built by King Amenhotep III and completed by Ramses II. We will stroll among the massive columns and giant statues, explore the Ramses Courtyard and the Great Hall of Columns, and learn about the temple's role in ancient religious ceremonies, especially the Feast of the Optos.

After visiting the temple, you will have the exciting opportunity to explore the West Bank, where the world of tombs and funerary temples reflects the genius of the Pharaohs to immortalize the dead.

We will also be able to visit the tomb of Sheikh Abdel Qurna (or what is known as the Abu al-Naga Tombs area), one of the most important noble sites in Thebes. We can enter one of the tombs that belonged to high-ranking officials and priests of the New Kingdom, where we will be able to immortalize these precious moments by taking some photos that detail daily life, religious beliefs, and funeral rites.

Additionally, we will have the chance to see the Valley of the Queens, where the wives and children of the pharaohs were buried.  The tomb of Queen Nefertari, if any exists, or other tombs embellished with vibrant paintings depicting the soul's passage to the other world are among the most exquisite in the area, in addition to visiting the Ramsesium Temple, the funerary temple of King Ramses II, you will be impressed by the remains of the huge statues and wall inscriptions that immortalize his battles and victories, especially the famous Battle of Kadesh.

Itinerary

Our trip will start early in the morning, where you will find one of our representatives waiting for you in front of your hotel or Nile cruise to take you in a comfortable air-conditioned car along the picturesque Nile River road, with farms and small villages on both sides of the road, the drive from Aswan to Luxor takes about 3 hours.

We will start the day by experiencing the Temple of Luxor, one of the most significant pharaonic temples in the East Bank. Ramses II completed it after King Amenhotep III had begun construction. We will tour the Ramses Courtyard and the Great Hall of Columns, take a stroll amid the enormous statues and columns, and discover how the temple was used for religious rituals in the past, particularly the Feast of the Optos.

After that, we will travel to the west bank of Luxor, one of Thebes' most significant aristocratic locations, to witness the tomb of Sheikh Abdel Qurna, also known as the area of the tombs of Abu al-Naga.
