Your English-speaking guide will then take you to the Giza Plateau, where you'll visit the famous Great Pyramid of King Cheops. Marvel at its architectural perfection, along with the Pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. Afterward, you'll visit the Great Sphinx, the massive statue with a human head and lion’s body, and explore the Valley Temple, where mummification rituals were held for King Chephren.
Lunch will be at a top-rated restaurant in Cairo before heading to explore Islamic Cairo. Wander through Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Egypt's oldest marketplace, where you can soak up the local culture and perhaps try traditional mint tea at one of Cairo’s historic cafes.
Next, your guide will lead you through the Egyptian Museum, where you'll see the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun and other masterpieces. You’ll also explore Coptic Cairo, visiting landmarks like the Hanging Church, the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, and St. Sergius Church, which is said to have sheltered the Holy Family. End the day with a visit to Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of Cairo’s oldest Jewish temples.
